As a leader in the natural foods industry, Back to Nature understands the importance of Non-GMO Project verification and in 2015, made a commitment to obtain Non-GMO Project verification for its wide array of products that span multiple categories, including cookies, crackers, cereal and granola. Today, nearly 90 percent of the brand’s products have been verified by the Non-GMO Project.
Back to Nature’s Non-GMO Project Verified products are produced in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard which provides ongoing verification for all ingredients used in our formulas, as well as facility inspections and annual audits to ensure that the highest possible standards for GMO avoidance are met.
Approximately 300 ingredients were carefully sourced and tested to ensure that all non-GMO Back to Nature products, which now carry the Non-GMO Project Verified seal on their packaging, deliver on the brand’s promise to provide great-tasting foods that are flavorful and simply delicious. Today, across multiple product categories, including cookies, crackers, nuts, granola, juice, soup and cereal, Back to Nature is giving consumers a variety of choices in delicious non-GMO foods.
The commitment to obtaining Non-GMO Project verification has been an important milestone in Back to Nature’s nearly 60-year history. Now more than ever, consumers have an increasing desire to understand and trust what they eat and to know how their food is sourced. Back to Nature is committed to being transparent about how their food is sourced and wants consumers to feel confident about the ingredients in Back to Nature products.
Back to Nature recognizes that responsibility to their customers goes beyond ensuring that they deliver high-quality products that people can feel good about eating. They also understand the impact manufacturing and packaging can have on the environment and are committed to responsible sustainability practices. That’s why the majority of Back to Nature’s packaging is made of 100% recycled paperboard. Back to Nature’s carton manufacturing facility reuses and recycles more than 95% of the solid wastes from the process. They also print the cartons with vegetable inks from renewable sources like soy, flax, and tree nuts.
