Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Rylee first developed her love of food by spending weekends watching the Food Network Channel with her mom and recreating recipes. Her love for food and cooking eventually transitioned into a passion for nutrition and sustainable living. While studying Therapeutic Nutrition at the University of North Alabama, she began to pursue photography in her free time and worked in social media for a few different brands, including a sustainable bag brand called Mother Erth that employs women in the Philippines – thus discovering a second passion in digital marketing. In addition to her degree at UNA, Rylee completed a certification course through Cornell on Plant-Based Nutrition to help tailor her education more towards her interests. Working for the Non-GMO Project has been a dream of Rylee’s since high school and as the Social Media Coordinator, she combines her love for visual aesthetic and marketing with her knowledge in health and nutrition to share the Project mission across all social platforms.
In her free time, Rylee enjoys hiking, taking photos, exploring new places, and most importantly, spending time with her dog Bernie.
