Cinnamon Raisin Granola

Eat for breakfast, lunch or an in-between snack.

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup safflower oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the oats, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon and salt (if desired) together in a large mixing bowl. Make a well and pour in the oil, syrup and vanilla. Mix together well.

Bake on a cookie sheet for 10 minutes then flip the granola over and bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes. To flip the granola, use two cookies sheets of the same size and lay the second cookie sheet on top and do a quick flip from one cookie sheet to the other. Mix the granola around on the tray to ensure even browning. Watch the edges as they can brown quicker than the rest (depending on your oven). Serve as is or with sliced apples.
