
This rich and creamy pasta dish is perfect for a dinner for two. It pairs well with sautéed vegetables and glass of white wine.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup white wine
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan or Gruyere cheese
- ¼ cup parsley
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 3 ½ oz. shiitake mushrooms, sauteed
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
To sautée the shiitake mushrooms, heat 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a medium sauté pan and add washed, sliced mushrooms. Add 1 clove of crushed garlic. Sautée on low to medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft. Set aside in a glass bowl.
Melt the butter in the sauté pan over medium-low heat. Add cream and white wine and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Then, add the remaining crushed garlic, parsley, and basil. Add the cheese and whisk until melted. Stir in the mushrooms.
Serve over a bed of pasta with a glass of white wine or sparkling white grape juice.
