A detoxing smoothie is a great way to raise energy levels and take care of your liver. According to Ali, the liver performs over 500 jobs for your body and it is the 2nd largest organ in our body. We need to take good care of it! The liver detoxifies our blood from the toxins and excess hormones that we consume or produce everyday.

Serves: 4


  • 2 ripe pears, cored
  • 2 apples, cored
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 very large chunk of fresh ginger
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • water
  • Your choice of greens (spinach, kale, collard greens, arugula, sunflower sprouts, cabbage are all great options!)
  • Bit of turmeric (optional)


This recipe is for a large batch. If your blender isn’t very big you may want to cut the recipe in half to accommodate.

Blend the fruit mixture until smooth and creamy. Then stuff in as many greens as can fit into your blender and blend again, adding more greens as the previous ones have blended.

Use whatever greens please you the most. Enjoy!
