Serves: 24
Total Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large NestFresh eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp finely grated orange zest
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- A pinch of ground cloves
- 1/2 cup dried golden figs
- 2 cups mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cups flaked, sweetened coconut
Instructions
On a large sheet of wax paper, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a standard electric mixing bowl, beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add both sugars and beat 5 minutes, scraping bowl at least twice.
Add eggs, vanilla, orange zest, cinnamon, and cloves. Beat 1 minute. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, on a low speed until well mixed. Add figs, chocolate chips, and coconut to dough with a large spatula, until well mixed.
Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Drop 2 tbsp of dough, 2 inches apart, on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool and enjoy!
