Taylor is ecstatic to be welcomed onto the Standards and Verification team at the Project. It has been a lifelong dream of hers to be able to talk about Food Science every day. She is excited to bring her drive to solve problems, her passion for educating people about the food they choose to consume, and her fascination with how our global food system works.
Taylor graduated with a BA in Food Science and minored in German at Oklahoma State University. Following her graduation, she was awarded the opportunity to live, study, and work in Germany for a year as a participant in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program. She then moved to Bellingham where she worked as a production baker for almost two years. The summer prior to joining the Project, she ventured into the world of farming where she worked and volunteered at multiple organic farms in Whatcom and Skagit counties. The experiences during this summer grew her interest in the effects of GMOs in the food supply chain, the livelihood of farmers worldwide, and our environment.
Taylor thrives on quality time and delicious food shared with friends and family, long hikes in the forest, and the beautiful sights of the PNW.
